Friends of Northside Dog Park Meet-N-Greet

Hear ye hear ye hear ye. The Friends of Northside Dog Park will be holding a long overdue meeting of site members, Northside residents, random volunteers, and the merely curious to discuss the close-to-final as well as new-and-improved Northside Dog Park. This park has been a long term labor of love for many of us and has weathered a number of unfortunate setbacks. Now it's time to leave behind the Build It phase and move into the Use It phase.

Among the wide-ranging topics that will be discussed:

• planning a late-spring, early summer Grand Opening of the Dog Park. Bring your top shelf party planning ideas
• choosing a new steering committee for the Friends of Northside Dog Park, a formal non-profit partner of the Richmond Parks, Recreation, & Community Facilities Dept. You never know--serving could be the first step to an eventual successful mayoral run.
• discussing dog park maintenance and upkeep, as well as finishing fencing and mulching the new, expanded section of the dog park. If you have sleeves, be ready to roll them up.

Please plan to attend if you want to know more about how you can help support your new community dog park. Our partners from the Richmond Parks, Recreation, & Community Facilities will be on hand for you to meet and probably bond deeply with. We will have a smattering of light refreshments for those who respond positively to the presence of light refreshments. Volunteers needed to be bring light refreshments.
