A community supporting Northside Richmond's dog park at Pine Camp
The fence is built and the dog park site has been cleared and weeded. This week the city is going to deliver a megaton of mulch for us to spread evenly over the two sections of the park. As soon as the mulcing is completed, we can open up the park to our canine friends.
We need folks to grab a pitchfork and/ or rake, head over to the Northside Dog Park this weekend, and spend an hour or two spreading the love.
You can sign up for a shift here: http://doodle.com/nr2zwpq3g38h63n3
In addition to bringing mulch-spreading implements, be sure to bring gloves, a hat, and plenty of water. It is going to be hot out there and there isn't much shade. Bathrooms are across the rode in the baseball complex.
Since Jonathan will be out of town this weekend and I (Richard) will only be available for part of Saturday, we are counting on folks to self-organize to get this done. Pop by for a visit to the park site, bring along a rake, and spend some time pitching in. Work can start as soon as the mulch is delivered, which I will announce here and on Twitter.
To find us, check out the map on our homepage.
Thanks, and see you at the dog park.
Richard
